Christianity: Mission work among the Bangingi Sama has been disrupted many times due to the peace and order situation. With missionaries kidnapped on three occasions since 1976, many agencies have withdrawn personnel from outlying areas. At present, resistance to Christians in any form is high while the opportunity for evangelism is very low.
Points for Prayer:
1. Pray for the progress of the ongoing translation work, and for sustained inspiration and protection of the workers.
2. Pray for the peace in the Bangingi settlement areas and protection and effectiveness of the field mission workers.
3. Pray for trust-relationship to eb established in the Bangingi community and for abundant opportunities for sowing.
4. Pray for fruitful partnership and mobilization efforts. Pray for more workers.
